Satyameva Jayate‘ – Truth alone Prevails : Truly soul stirring show, aired in India. When I watched the first episode of the show, I could feel the strong current of emotions gushing down my veins and leaving my eyes moist. This show deals about various problems like Female foeticide, Child Sexual Abuse etc.

You feel a pang of shock, with each revelation that sometimes comes in the form of a disgusting story, statistics or a video clip that Aamir’s team recorded while doing their research. It’s not that we haven’t read about such incidents before in newspapers and television. We have, but what’s different is that the show succeeds in convincing people of the outcomes of such practices better than a government campaign.

Aamir Khan is the USP of the show. He is able to connect to millions of viewers all over India. It’s a sincere effort that makes people hope and gives people the courage to stand up against the unsocial.
If you have not watched this show, I strongly recommend to everyone.

Paneer : 250 gms
Baby Corn : 10, cubed or sliced
Shah Jeera : 1 tsp
Turmeric powder : 1/2 tsp
Tomatoes : 2, blanched, pureed and sieved

Heat oil in a wide pan.
Add in shah jeera.
When it splutters add prepared onion-almond paste and turmeric.
Fry till raw smell disappears on medium heat, take care not to burn the gray.
Then add in tomato puree and salt.
Mix well. The gravy splutters a lot at this point, be careful while stirring.
Cover and cook on low for 5 mins.

Now add in red chili powder and ground masala powder.
Mix well and fry till oil begins to leave the sides of the pan.
If the consistency of gravy is very thick, add in some cream.
Now add in baby corn and paneer pieces.
Cover and cook for few minutes.
Lastly add in crushed kasoori methi(I did not have it, so skipped this).
Serve hot with Jeera Rice, Flavoured Rice or Roti/Naans.
